...Why do we have a "liberal president"

When is the congress and the "liberal" president Obama, going to address the blatant moral hazards of the credit agencies and the corrosive power and responsibility that they had in the financial crises. This is just another crisis waiting to happen. It seems to me that a presumably  "liberal" "democrat" president as we  have would be at least a bit abashed about this situation?
